Everything You Need to Know Before You Join the Celebration

Juneteenth marks the official end of slavery in the United States on June 19, 1865, when news of the Emancipation Proclamation finally reached enslaved people in Texas. At King Park, we celebrate this powerful moment in history with unity, art, education, music, and community love.

Everyone! While we honor Black history and liberation, all communities are welcome to attend, support, and learn. This is a celebration of freedom, culture, and connection.

Expect a dynamic mix of spoken word, gospel, hip-hop, jazz, African drumming, dance troupes, local choirs, and surprise guest artists. This is a space where culture is celebrated out loud!

Participation is completely free! Juneteenth At King Park is a celebration for the entire community—open to all ages.

You can join as a volunteer, vendor, sponsor, performer, or guest. Whether you want to lend a helping hand, showcase your business, or share your talent, we welcome you to be part of this movement.

Support us by donating, spreading the word, volunteering, buying from local Black-owned vendors, or simply showing up with love. Every action fuels the mission.
